من نيجيريا، نائبة الأمين العام وملالا يوسفزاي تناصران حق الفتيات في التعليم

قدمت نائبة الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أمينة محمد ملالا، قائلة إنها تجاوزت الحدود والثقافات والأجيال، في حين أن رسالتها وشغفها أثرا في الناس في كل مكان.

وقالت: “ملالا تتحدانا باستمرار على تخيل عالم أقل تعصبا وأكثر تفهما واحتراما. عالم أقل كراهية وأكثر إنسانية. عالم أقل عنصرية وأكثر مساواة. عالم أقل جهلا وأكثر تعليما ومعرفة”.

جاء ذلك خلال الاحتفال بعيد ميلادها السادس والعشرين، والتى دعت فيه ملالا يوسفزاي الحائزة على جائزة نوبل ورسولة الأمم المتحدة للسلام العالم إلى بذل المزيد من الجهد لضمان حصول الفتيات على التعليم، منبهة إلى أن هناك أكثر من 120 مليون فتاة خارج المدرسة.

وقالت في كلمة ألقتها الناشطة الباكستانية والمدافعة عن التعليم في أبوجا بنيجيريا يوم الأربعاء بعد عشر سنوات بالضبط من خطابها التاريخي للشباب في “يوم ملالا” بمقر الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك، حيث دعت إلى اتخاذ إجراءات عالمية ضد الأمية والفقر والإرهاب.

يذكر أن ملالا يوسفزاي تعرضت لإطلاق نار من قبل حركة طالبان في عام 2012 بسبب دعوتها إلى تعليم الفتيات.

 UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed Malala introduced, saying she has transcended borders, cultures and generations, while her message and passion touch people everywhere.

 “Malala constantly challenges us to imagine a world that is less intolerant and more understanding and respectful. A world that is less hateful and more humane. A world that is less racist and more equal. A world that is less ignorant and more educated and knowledgeable,” she said.

 This came during the celebration of her twenty-sixth birthday, in which Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel laureate and the United Nations Messenger of Peace, called on the world to do more to ensure girls’ access to education, noting that there are more than 120 million girls out of school.

 She said in a speech delivered by the Pakistani activist and education advocate in Abuja, Nigeria on Wednesday exactly ten years after her historic “Malala Day” address to youth at the United Nations headquarters in New York, where she called for global action against illiteracy, poverty and terrorism.

 It is noteworthy that Malala Yousafzai was shot by the Taliban in 2012 because of her call for girls’ education.
