In 1916, archaeologists discovered a stunning tomb in the Valley of the Monkey Cemetery near Thebes, the city of the pharaoh kings. The tomb contains the remains of three women, Menhat, Menwi and Mirti, who were of Syrian origin and wives of King Thutmose III, one of the greatest rulers of the 18th dynasty.
